Within these activities, various activities are carried out according to the needs of the project with a focus on optimization of proces, as well as optimization of stocks of spare parts as well as supplier-customer relations.
Selected activities carried out within the project:
- analysis and description of the map of maintenance processes and related logistics processes at the level of description of individual activities
- analysis of duplicate processes, activities, documents
- analysis of personnel, technical and software security processes
- analysis of maintenance department organisation and links to other internal and external entities
- an assessment of the adequacy of stocks and their condition and extent of consumption according to time, expected need, and inventory turnaround;
- analysis of current classification of stocks, critical parts, lagers
- analysis of procurement and procurement planning
- communication with the staff concerned; physical inspection of maintenance and repair sites, maintenance warehouses and establishments to ascertain the facts of the work organisation, status, scope and records of stocks and spatial possibilities
- design of optimization of maintenance processes and related processes, including information flows, personnel and technical security and removal of duplicates
- proposal of optimization of information system supporting process optimization
- proposal to change the organisation of the maintenance unit and links to other internal and external entities
- design of classification for storage parts (critical, high-turnaround, low-turn, lager...) and classification of individual parts and items into categories
- design of stock limits by category
- design of a system for monitoring the shelf life of individual parts in the warehouse
- proposal to eliminate inventory, reduce spatial demands and scope of handling of goods, improve the use of the information system and, where appropriate, reduce personnel requirements
